Oak Bark

Of the 13 botanicals that are found in Heartwood gin, Oak Bark is the most connected botanical to us and the very starting point for where we are today.

Meadow Oak Distillery is named after the beautiful ancient oak tree that is situated upon Oak Moor Meadow on our organic family farm. 

When building our recipe, Oak Bark was a botanical that we felt was essential! Thankfully, when trialling recipes we felt that it was a game-changer.

As well as bringing with it some vanilla-woody, almost earthy flavours, it also contributed an element of ‘balance’ to the other botanicals.
